Spintex Swaziland (Pty) Ltd was established in 1991 as Spintex. It was initially set up as a combed mill producing fine count combed cotton and polyester/combed cotton yarns, for supply to the knitting and weaving industries in Southern Africa.
Soon after
opening Spintex made the decision to dedicate itself as a core yarn mill and to this end
new high technology machinery was installed and development work was carried out with
manufacturers in Southern Africa and in Europe.
Spintex is a quality-orientated mill with its yarns being rated in the top 5 percent of
the world's spinning mills in terms of quality.
Spintex as a dedicated core yarn mill supplies high quality niche markets in the sewing
thread industry with polyester core /ELS cotton cover and polyester core /polyester cover
yarns in Southern Africa and other export markets; Spintex also supplies core yarns to the weaving industry both locally and for export.
